For those of you who are familiar with the Clef Hangers (I’m sure that’s all of you) you’ve probably heard of Chris Melly. Chris graduated from UNC two years ago and is one of Anoop’s best friends. He is also the creator of Anoop’s official Facebook page. Chris handles all things Anoop such as media inquiries, promotions, and internet content.

I (Natasha) got the chance to send some questions to Chris and here is how he answered:

1. How long have you known Anoop?

“I’ve known Anoop for 5 years now.”

2. Is there anything weird or unusual Anoop does?

“It’s kind of funny, at this point, our group of friends (mostly Clefs) have been hanging out together for so long between practice gigs and tours not to mention free time that even the oddest things seem normal.”

3. When Anoop comes out with his first album, do you think he should feature the Clef Hangers in some songs?

“Haha, well I think he should definitely feature me. But on a more serious note, Anoop will put out a CD and it is going to be fantastic. At this point he needs to just focus on the music. The recording industry is not what it used to be with internet pirating and such these days. It’s a struggle. If the Clefs could help him sell CD’s and be the best he could be, every single one of us would be right there waiting to do our part.”

4. What is one thing nobody knows about Anoop that you are willing to reveal?

“Anoop is kind of a one woman guy (he’s going to kill me for telling this) but he never would hop from crush to crush. If he likes someone it is her and only her. No matter how much his friends tell him to get over it or if she doesn’t have the same feelings (sorry buddy). He is the same way with his love life as he is with his friends, the most loyal person you will ever meet.”

5. Who is Anoop’s celebrity crush?

“Ya know, I’m sure it’s one of the usuals.”

6. How has Anoop’s sudden rise to fame affected YOU?

“Truthfully, I graduated from UNC 2 years ago with no clue what I wanted to do. When Anoop made it to Hollywood he needed someone to head up media relations, internet efforts, local support and general coordination of his family and friends. I took on these tasks and couldn’t be happier. I think after this is all over I will be looking to do something like this as a career.”
